Effective mediation requires a combination of skills beyond straightforward appellate advocacy. Please join us for a conversation with Rocco J. Spagna, Chief Circuit Mediator and Jillisa Brittan, Circuit Mediator with the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, about the art and science of representing your client in appellate mediation, including practical considerations beyond the facts in the record, the best ways to prepare, and how to communicate strategically and efficiently with different audiences – your mediator, your opposing counsel, and your client. The seminar will be moderated by ALA President Marron Mahoney and Vice President Catherine Weiler.
MCLE: Participants will earn 1.0 hour of MCLE credit from the ALA. The ALA is an approved Illinois MCLE provider.
