“Mikva! Democracy is a Verb”

Abner Mikva was a lawyer, a federal judge, a legal scholar and a politician. He served in the Illinois House of Representatives before going on to serve in all three branches of the federal government, including as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. A public servant in the truest sense, Abner Mikva’s legacy lives on through the work of those he inspired.

The ALA is honored to be joined at this screening by Justice Mary L. Mikva, Justice James R. Epstein, Judge Jerry A. Esrig, Director Bob Hercules and Executive Producer Greg Kinczewski for a discussion following the film.
