To qualify for ALA membership you must meet one of these three requirements.
I have been licensed to practice law for at least one year and have participated in and had substantial responsibility for the prosecution or defense of at least three appeals. You need to upload your case list.
I have been licensed to practice law for less than one year and have participated in and had substantial responsibility for the prosecution or defense of at least five appeals. You need to upload your case list.
I have been a law clerk, staff attorney, research attorney, or the equivalent, in a reviewing court, and I had substantial responsibility in assisting the reviewing court in the review or disposition of at least five appeals. You do not need to upload a case list.
